There's always hype surrounding rookie quarterbacks.
If or when they'll unseat an entrenched starter, how their game will translate to the NFL or how long before they're labeled a star or bust, rookie quarterbacks always generate plenty of discussion.
In the last month, that's been especially true as fans have put their money where their mouth is and given two rookie signal callers — Mac Jones and Justin Fields — two of the top five selling jerseys since Aug. 1. 먹튀검증
Jones comes in at No. 2, ahead of former New England legend and current Tampa Bay starter Tom Brady, while Fields checks in at No. 4, ahead of 2018 NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.
Jones was named the starter in New England last month ahead of former MVP Cam Newton, who was subsequently released by the Patriots. Meanwhile, Fields will be backing up Andy Dalton in Chicago, despite Bears' fans opinion on the decision.
It remains to be seen how long Jones and Fields stay in the top five and if they'll stay in front of the likes of Brady and Mahomes for the months to come. While much of that will likely depend on their performance, it's quite the accomplishment given neither has yet to take a single official snap.
It's also possible that other big name rookie quarterbacks like the Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence or the Jets' Zach Wilson make their way into the top tier of best-selling jerseys as the season progresses.
However, from Aug. 1 to Nov. 1, 2020, the top five best-selling jerseys belonged to Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, George Kittle, Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson to round out the top five. In that span, the best-selling rookie jersey belonged to Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb, who came in at No. 9.
